Alexander Technique Individual Lessons

Alexander Technique teachers use their hands—"hands-on work"—with a gentle, non-invasive touch to invite conscious awareness on the part of the student and simultaneously encouraging the release of habitual tension held in the body. Teachers of the Alexander Technique use their hands while the student is in stillness (sitting or standing) or in movement (walking). Many lessons include work lying down, or, table work. Table lessons typically allow for greater release as the instructor guides you to more length, width, and a heightened kinesthetic awareness.

Table Work
Alexander Technique can be applied to every day and specialized activities. So lessons may also include activity work, applying Alexander's principles to any activity in which we want to have more ease and comfort. Activity work could include sitting at the computer, speaking, writing, lifting, driving, and walking, to more specialized activities such as dancing, playing an instrument, singing, acting, running, golfing, swimming, tennis, and horseback riding, to name a few.

Alexander Technique gives you the skills to live a life of poise, ease, balance, coordination, calmness, and comfort.
